Khao Rang Hill

Khao Rang Hill is a very popular viewpoint in the the middle of Phuket Town. If you happen to explore the 'Old Phuket' and need a nice break from the heat, you can drive up there and admire the streets from the top. This always gives a new dimension to the places you just walked through. Beyond town you can admire the bay of Chalong on one side, and even the Big Buddha sitting on a higher hill on the other side.

Best of all is to have a lunch or dinner at one of the three restaurants located at the top: 'Tungka Cafe', 'Phuket View' or 'Khao Rang Breeze'. Our preference always goes to the long established Tungka Cafe with the nice shady path and the more cozy terraces. Food is very good but the place has become really busy. Phuket View huge terrace is set on the other face of the hill, food is good, but the atmosphere is not as romantic.
